6502 Microcomputer


John Bell single board 6502 microcomputer was designed and built on MOS 6502 CPU and 6522 interface adaptor. Computer was intended for controlling home and industrial appliances. It was equipped with two 8-bit bidirectional I/O ports with each line individually programmable to serve and an input or an output. Two 16 bit programmable timers/counters added programming flexibility.

Micro 6502 does not have any keyboard or display capability. It was supposed to be programmed by connecting to Apple II or II+ computer through a John Bell parallel interface card. EPROMS were to be programmed with a John Bell EPROM programmer card.

Per John Bell catalog, the 6502 Microcomputer "...is designed to control: Home security systems, Heating Systems, Lightning Systems, Solar heating and power systes and ... the World!".
